A strange investigation by Delhi Police has come to light in the case of gang rape and then murder of a 55 year old woman. The word 'sexual exploitation' is not mentioned anywhere in the charge sheet filed by Delhi Police in this entire case. A Delhi court has expressed displeasure over the investigation. The court has described the investigation of Delhi Police as shoddy.
Along with this, show cause notice has been issued to an ACP rank officer and his subordinate. Special Judge Dhirendra Rana of Rohini Court had come to know about the crime on the very first day but what Delhi Police did is quite surprising. Justice Rana said that if there is this level of investigation in heinous crimes like gang rape and murder, then what can be said about other minor crimes.
Court issued show cause notice to ACP
Justice Rana ordered to issue show cause notices to the IO and ACP and said that in this matter they should explain in detail why departmental action should not be recommended against them as the investigation was shoddy and negligence was clearly visible. Justice Rana said in his order that the charge sheet states that the crime team had recovered used condoms from the spot.
The body was also recovered in a semi-nude state. These two facts show that the deceased was sexually assaulted and hence the investigating officer should have invoked Section 376 of IPC in the investigation on the same day. Let us tell you that ACP Manish Ladla had filed the charge sheet.
What is the whole matter?
According to the charge sheet of Delhi Police, the woman who was gang raped and then murdered, suddenly went missing on March 14. The next day his body was found in the bus. Delhi Police registered an FIR in this case. After this he started investigating this matter. The Delhi Police team interrogated the son of the victim woman, who claimed to have seen his mother being sexually abused. He mentioned four boys. Everyone's age was between 16-17 years.
4 minors were arrested
The investigating officer recorded the statement of the victim. The officer also recorded the statement of head constable Eschi Chetan, who was on patrol duty on the day of the incident. Police told the court that the postmortem was conducted on March 16. On April 15, four minors were arrested. He was identified by the victim's son as well as HC Chetan. The court ordered to present the four accused before the Juvenile Justice Board. A case was registered against him under several sections. At present this matter is in the court.
