Al Qadir Trust case, in which former PM of Pakistan Imran Khan arrested?


Imran Khan arrested: The screws finally tightened on former Pakistan PM Imran Khan. The sword of arrest was hanging over Imran Khan for a long time. After the arrest of Imran, the workers of his party PTI created a ruckus. What is the whole matter?

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was arrested on Tuesday afternoon. Imran Khan has been arrested by Pakistan Rangers from Islamabad High Court. As soon as Imran was arrested, PTI workers created ruckus. Imran Khan was taken to the NAB office after his arrest in the court.

Imran Khan has been arrested by NAB i.e. National Accountability Bureau in the Al-Qadir Trust case. Imran Khan went to the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday to seek bail in this case. Several FIRs have been registered against him for cheating in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

What is Al Qadir Trust Case?

Al Qadir Trust is actually a matter related to a university. It was established in the year 2021 at Sohawa in Jhelum. The allegation is that on behalf of Al-Qadir University, Imran's wife Bushra Khan and the land donor have joint signatures on the document of the donated land. While holding the post of Prime Minister, Imran Khan was also the President of Al Qadir Trust University.

This university of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, established in 2021, has not yet been recognized by the government. This institute was registered as a trust but fees were charged from the students here.

Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and his close aides Zulfikar Bukhari and Babar Awan have been involved in the Al-Qadir University Project Trust. While the address of the trust's office is mentioned as Bani Gala House, Islamabad.

These trustees signed an agreement to receive donations from a private company involved in the real estate business. That company allotted the land to the trust. It is believed that the real estate businessman was given protection through this institution.

The documents revealed that Al-Qadir University Project Trust was formed by Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, Bukhari and Awan. Its purpose was to provide good education in Sohawa Tehsil of Jhelum in Punjab. But something else was going on behind it.

There are many more cases against Imran Khan

About 37 cases including the Toshakhana case are registered against former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. In the information provided by Fawad Chaudhary, Imran Khan himself is a petitioner in 19 cases. Which have been filed against government departments and individuals. However, there are a total of 37 cases against Khan in which he is directly involved.

A total of 21 FIRs have been registered against the former Prime Minister in all these cases, out of which 11 were registered on a single day in 2022, while 8 cases were registered on 26 May. The remaining 3 FIRs were registered on 8 August.
