Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal's father has died a painful death after falling from the 20th floor, Ritesh has shared an emotional message for his father.

Gurugram. OYO Rooms founder Ritesh Agarwal 's father Ramesh Agarwal died on Friday after falling from a high-rise building in Gurugram. According to reports, Ramesh Agarwal fell from his 20th floor flat in a posh society. This accident happened when his wife, son and daughter-in-law were present at home.

Ramesh Agarwal's death came a few days after the Taj Palace wedding of his son Ritesh and Geetansha Sood. After the wedding, the 30-year-old billionaire also organized a grand celebration at a five-star hotel in Delhi. Industry stalwarts, including SoftBank Group CEO Masayoshi Son, also attended the wedding ceremony. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was also present in this ceremony.

Ritesh became very emotional after the sad demise of his father. He said, “It is with a heavy heart that my family and I want to share with you that our mentors Prakash and Shakti, my father, Ramesh Agarwal passed away on March 10. He lived an amazing life and inspired me and many of us every day. His death is a great loss to our family.

Oyo Founder Ritesh further said, “My father's compassion and warmth guided us through our most difficult times and kept us going. His words will continue to resonate deeply in our hearts. We request everyone to respect our privacy in this hour of grief.

Ritesh started his entrepreneurial career at the age of 17. Ritesh dropped out of college to follow his entrepreneurial ambition and started working on an online travel aggregator platform. His startup later became very famous as Oyo Rooms.
