Mob Lynching in Bihar: Naseem was allegedly thrashed by the mob and later handed over to the local police. Police said that he was taken to the hospital for treatment, but he died.
Saran: A heart-wrenching incident has come to the fore in Saran district of Bihar. A 56-year-old man was beaten to death on suspicion of carrying beef . The deceased has been identified as Naseem Qureshi. He was a resident of Hasanpur village in the district. Three people have been arrested in this case. The names of the arrested people are Sarpanch Sushil Singh, Ravi Sah and Ujjwal Sharma. Due to this incident of mob lynching, there is an atmosphere of fear among the people of the district. The police administration is looking for more accused in this case.
However, the police have not confirmed the recovery of beef from the deceased. The incident took place on Tuesday when Naseem and his nephew Firoz were going to meet their relatives at Jogia village in Qureshi district. The two were allegedly stopped by a mob in Jogia village on suspicion that they were carrying beef in their bag. After this, where was heard. The crowd thrashed him fiercely.
Jogia village comes under Rasulpur police station. Where his nephew Firoz managed to escape. Whereas Naseem was allegedly thrashed by the mob and later handed over to the local police. Police said that he was taken to the hospital for treatment but he died during treatment.
Nazim Qureshi was beaten with sticks and rods
Giving more details about the matter, Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaurav Mangla said that both were stopped by the local people near a mosque. After this there was a suspicion of carrying beef in his bag. Firoz managed to escape while being thrashed by the mob. The crowd thrashed Nazim Qureshi with sticks and rods. After this, the crowd handed over Naseem to the police. The police admitted Nazim to a government hospital in an injured condition. He died during treatment here.
Along with this, the police officer told that 3 have been arrested in the case of mob lynching. Police is on the lookout for more suspects involved in the case. Investigation is being done in all angles.
