Fire in Assam Jorhat Known Chowk Market: A big accident happened on Thursday night in Jorhat, Assam. A massive fire broke out in the Chowk market here on Thursday late night. As soon as the fire was reported, several vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot and got involved in extinguishing the fire. The work of extinguishing the fire was going on till late night till 1 am.
According to the sources of the fire brigade, the fire started from a clothes shop located near the main gate of the market. Gradually it kept spreading and till 1 o'clock in the night there was information about burning of about 100 shops.

However, it is a matter of relief that there is no information about any casualty in this accident.
More than 25 vehicles were engaged in extinguishing the fire
Police officers say that more than 25 fire engines were engaged in extinguishing the fire in the night. The Fayeh Brigade said that the investigation so far revealed that the fire broke out due to an electrical short circuit in a cloth shop. From there it reached other shops. Police say that all the shops in the market were closed when the incident took place, so no one was injured in the arson. Although most of the 100 shops were of clothes and grocery.
Fire engines have trouble due to narrow roads
