15 days back, he was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune due to ill health. Where the doctors were keeping an eye on his condition, he was on the support system but on Wednesday his support system was removed. Only after that the news of his being critical came. At the same time, the artists of the industry are mourning his death. Apart from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Ajay Devgan, who worked with the late Vikram Gokhale in many other films, expressed grief over the actor's demise and prayed for his soul to rest in peace. 

Vikram Gokhale Sir brought a lot of gravitas to the roles he essayed. He always stood tall. I had the good fortune of sharing screen time with him. His passing away is very sad. I pray his soul finds eternal peace. RIP Vikram Sir.
