Vande Bharat will expand all over India, know what is the plan of Railways

Vande Bharat Express 2.0 is equipped with several best-in-class amenities and offers a plane like travel experience. This train is equipped with advanced and state-of-the-art safety features.

Now the country will get two Vande Bharat trains every month. It has started from October. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the fourth Vande Bharat train at Una, Himachal. Railways has prepared a plan to run a total of 75 Vande Bharat by next year. Due to Kovid, it took time to realize this plan. But now every month the ministry will run two Vande Bharat in the same way.

Second train within 14 days

Railways is running the second Vande Bharat train within 14 days. Earlier on September 30, Vande Bharat train has been run between Gandhi Nagar to Mumbai. According to the Ministry of Railways, after the first and second Vande Bharat train, many changes have been made in the third Vande Bharat, due to which it has taken time, but from October, two trains will come every month.

There will be 75 trains by next year

Indian Railways is preparing to launch 75 Vande Bharat trains on the track before August 15, 2023 (in a year). According to ministry sources, after the construction of the new train, the production of the remaining 71 Vande Bharat trains will be done very soon. In the first two-three months, two to three Vande Bharat will be constructed every month. After this, the production will be increased from 6 to 7 per month. In this way, 75 or more trains will be prepared by next year.

What's special in the new train

Vande Bharat Express 2.0 is equipped with several best-in-class amenities and offers a plane like travel experience. This train is equipped with advanced and state-of-the-art safety features. It is equipped with indigenously developed Train Collision Avoidance System – Kavach. This upgraded and improved features train is capable of reaching the speed of 0 to 100 kmph in just 52 seconds. The new Vande Bharat Express weighs 392 tonnes as compared to the previous version of 430 tonnes.

Revolving seats

It also has the facility of on-demand Wi-Fi. It has 32 screens in each compartment which provides passenger information and infotainment. For the convenience of the differently-abled, many handicap-friendly facilities have been provided in this train including seat handle with seat number in Braille letters. All classes of the train have reclining seats while the executive compartments have 180 degree reclining seats. Four platform side cameras have also been installed outside the coach in this train, including rear view cameras.

There's something special in this

This train has been designed to increase the green footprint of Indian Railways. It eliminates the need to power cars and saves around 30% of electricity by installing an advanced regenerative braking system. Also, in this improved version of the train, a photo-catalytic ultraviolet air purification system has been installed in the Roof-Mounted Package Unit (RMPU) for air purification. Photo-catalytic Ultraviolet Air Purification System has been installed at both ends of the RMPU to keep the system free from germs, bacteria, viruses etc. coming through fresh air and return air. The dust-free clean air of the traction motor will make the journey more comfortable.
