It is forbidden to cut nails at night in Garuda Purana. Describing it as a bad omen, it has been said that by doing so, Lakshmi Mata gets angry and financial problems start at home. However, if you try to know the scientific reason for this, then you will understand everything easily. Actually, in earlier times there was no light in the houses. Dirt is hidden in the nails and they fall away many times while cutting. It is not possible to find fallen nails in the dark. In such a situation, diseases flourish in the house. Therefore it was forbidden to cut nails at night. Apart from this, there is also a risk of injury by biting nails in the dark. Because of this, this rule was made and it was associated with bad omen. Gradually this became a custom.
Do not shave these days
Astrology is a science. According to this science, washing, cutting and shaving hair is prohibited on Thursday. In astrology, Jupiter is considered the causative planet of luck. It is believed that by doing this, luck gets angry and all our works keep getting done. Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays are scheduled for shaving. Apart from Thursday, it has been advised not to shave on Tuesday and Saturday also.
