Jasprit Bumrah's big leap in the latest ICC Test rankings, made it to the top-10

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has made it to the top-10 of the bowlers' list in the latest ICC Test rankings released.

Bumrah's nine wickets in the first Test against England helped him jump 10 spots to the ninth position with 760 rating points. Bumrah, who was his career-highest number three in September 2019, scored 77 points after the first Test match.

This is the first time since March that Bumrah has made it to the top-10. Apart from Bumrah, Stuart Broad (8th) and Mitchell Starc (10th) are on the spot. England fast bowler James Anderson is ranked seventh in the rankings. Ollie Robinson has improved 22 places to 46th and India's Shardul Thakur has jumped 19th place to 55th.

In the ranking of batsmen, England captain Joe Root has overtaken Indian captain Virat Kohli to be at number four. Root had scored 64 and 109 in the first match, which helped him get 49 rating points. Kohli has slipped to fifth place.

India's Ravindra Jadeja has moved up to the second position in the all-rounder rankings with 377 rating points. Lokesh Rahul is ranked 56th in the first Test with 84 and 26 runs.
