Haryana government will give Rs 6 crore to Neeraj Chopra for performing brilliantly in Olympics


Neeraj Chopra has won India's first Olympic gold medal in athletics, performing brilliantly in the Tokyo Olympics. 
On the victory of Neeraj Chopra, the Haryana government has announced a big reward for him. Haryana government will give Rs 6 crore to Neeraj Chopra. Along with this, Neeraj Chopra will also be given a class-1 job. Neeraj Chopra will be the head of the Center of Athletics to be set up in Panchkula. Along with this, the players who brought laurels to the country in the Olympics will be honored in Panchkula on August 13.

The 23-year-old Neeraj Chopra registered a best effort of 87.58 to overtake Czech pair of Jacob Vadledge and Vitejslav Vesli to clinch the gold medal. It was India's first gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and also the country's second individual gold medal in Olympic history after Abhinav Bindra in Beijing 2008.
