How important is the mask after taking both doses of the vaccine, know the opinion of experts

There is no clear opinion on how important it is for people taking the vaccine around the world to wear a mask. Experts are also divided on this. In the initial research, there is a risk of corona infection after the first dose.

To prevent the havoc of Corona, emphasis is being given on the vaccination campaign across the world. About 44 crore people in India have received at least one dose of the vaccine. But the biggest concern is that despite intensifying the vaccine campaign, the infection of corona is not stopping. In such a situation, experts all over the world have been warning people to go out wearing masks. But many experts are divided on whether a mask should be applied after taking the full dose of the corona vaccine. The World Health Organization (WHO) has urged people to wear masks again indoors at the end of June 2021. The WHO has also said that those who have taken both doses of the vaccine, they must also wear a mask while going out. However, no decision was taken on this advice in many countries.

There is no clear rule on the mask for those taking both doses
, in many parts of the US, exemption has been given to not apply the mask after taking both doses of the vaccine. Due to people doing this on a large scale, California again issued an order to apply masks. However, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has not yet taken a similar approach. National Nurses United has called on the CDC to reconsider. Peter Chin-hong, an infectious disease specialist at the University of California, has said that there is clear evidence that Kovid-19 can be transmitted even after full vaccination. The CDC is studying these figures closely. Therefore, as a precaution, people should wear masks. However, no guidelines have been issued regarding the wearing of masks for those taking both the doses.

First-dose risk from delta variants In the
US, 60 percent of the population over the age of 18 has been fully vaccinated. But everyone has doubts about the Delta variant. Preliminary data suggests that increased exposure to delta-like variants may increase the risk of infection in people who have received the first dose of the vaccine. For example, one study found that a single dose of Pfizer vaccine had only 34 percent effectiveness against symptomatic disease compared to the delta version, compared to 51 percent in the older alpha version. On the other hand, according to data from Scotland and several other countries, the Pfizer vaccine after two doses provides strong protection against the delta variant. In preliminary studies in Canada and England, researchers found 93 percent effectiveness against the alpha version and 88 percent against the delta version.
