Seeing a cat here is considered auspicious 

In the traditions of the south, the cat is considered auspicious. Here, the cat is said to protect against negative forces. There is a cat temple in Bekka Lele village, 30 km away from Mandya district of Karnataka. Cats have been worshipped here since more than 1000 years. People here consider the cat to be the incarnation of Goddess Mangamma. 

Cats are considered auspicious in some places abroad too. In Feng Shui too, keeping a cat at home is considered auspicious. Cats are considered very auspicious in China and Japan too. People who believe in Feng Shui keep white cats in their homes. 

Seeing a cat like this is auspicious

If you see a cat early in the morning, it is a good sign. Seeing a cat on the night of Diwali is a very good sign. This creates the possibility of getting wealth. If a cat gives birth to kittens in the house, it is a very good sign. It is believed to mean an increase in wealth. Seeing a golden cat is also auspicious.
