Navratri Pulao Recipe: During the 9 days of Navratri, many people worship Mata Rani as per the rituals and keep fast for the entire 9 days. Most people keep fast during these 9 days by eating only fruits. In such a situation, you must be bored by eating the same type of fruit every day. Same buckwheat flour puri or paratha or sago khichdi. So today we have brought for you some very different Navratri recipes which are very tasty and healthy too. So, if you want to eat something tasty and light during this fast, then you can make fruit pulao. It is very easy to make and after eating it you will feel energetic throughout the day and it will also taste amazing. So let's know the recipe of Fruit Pulao.
Ingredients for making fruit pulao
Sama rice- one cup
Peanuts – 1/4 cup
Potato- 2
Cumin – 1 teaspoon
Ghee- 2 spoons
Green chilli- 4
Green coriander – finely chopped
Water- 2 cups
Rock salt- as per taste
Make fruit pulao like this
1. First of all wash and boil the potatoes. Then wash the Sama rice and soak it in water.
2. After about 15 to 20 minutes, drain the water from the rice and keep it covered for some time.
3. Once the potatoes are boiled, remove the peel and add finely chopped green chillies.
4. Now turn on the gas on medium flame and place the pan.
5. Put ghee in this pan and heat it. When the ghee becomes hot, fry the peanuts and take them out.
6. Now add cumin seeds in ghee and let it crackle.
7. In the next step, add potatoes and add a little salt and mix. Fry the potatoes for about 3 to 4 minutes.
8. After this, add sama rice to it and mix both the things well and fry for about three minutes.
9 Now add water to it, add salt and peanuts as per taste and then leave it to boil.
10. After boiling, reduce the gas to medium and cover the pan and leave it to cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
11. When the rice is cooked, turn off the gas and garnish with finely chopped green coriander leaves.
12. Now your fruit pulao is ready. Serve it hot.
