In Sanatan Dharma, the first revered Lord Shri Ganesha is a very powerful and kind deity. Any devotee who worships him with a true heart, his sorrows and pains disappear from his life. Any puja or auspicious work begins with the worship of Shri Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is the son of Bholenath and Mother Parvati and is considered the god of knowledge, wisdom and happiness and prosperity. It is on the strength of his intelligence that he has got the position of the first revered deity.

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is considered a very important festival in Hindu religion. In this festival, Shri Ganesh is welcomed with great pomp and the whole world gets colored in the colors of devotion to Ganpati Bappa. In every idol of Shri Ganesha, the Lord is riding on his vehicle Mushak or is accompanied by Mushak. Without Mushakaraja, his statue seems incomplete, but why did Ganesh ji's vehicle become a mushaka? Let us know what was God's play behind this?

How did the mouse become a vehicle?

According to the legend, there was a Gandharva named Cronch in the court of Lord Indra who was busy laughing and joking during the court due to which the court was being dissolved. During this, Kraunch stepped on sage Vamdev. Due to this incident, Vamdev became angry and cursed Kraunch and because of that curse he became a rat. Even after becoming a rat, he did not improve and created a terrible havoc in the ashram of Rishi Parashar. Lord Shri Ganesha was also in the same ashram, so Maharishi Parashar told the whole thing to Ganesha and asked him to teach this mouse a lesson. Ganesh ji threw his noose to catch that mouse and that noose caught the mouse from the underworld. When the mouse started begging God for his life, Lord Ganesha created his own vehicle to keep him under control.

second legend

According to another legend, a demon named Gajmukhasur had troubled all the gods a lot. One day all the gods came to Lord Shri Ganesha and told him their plight. When Lord Shri Ganesha wanted to convince the demon, he challenged the Lord for war and then a war took place between Lord Shri Ganesha and the demon Gajmukhasur. In that war, one of Lord Ganesha's teeth broke, due to which he became very angry. In anger, he attacked the demon with his teeth and Gajmukhasur got scared and started running away in the form of a rat. When Lord Ganesha caught hold of him, the demon begged for his life and Lord Shri Ganesha made him his vehicle.
