People are eagerly waiting for Ganesh Chaturthi, one of the major festivals of Hindu religion. This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Bappa. On this day, the 10-day long Ganesh Utsav also begins. Lord Ganesha was born on the Chaturthi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. In such a situation, this day is celebrated as Ganesh Chaturthi. During this time, people bring the idol of Ganpati to their homes and after worshiping with rituals for 10 days, Bappa is immersed on the day of Anant Chaturdashi.
This year Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 19th September. In such a situation, preparations are going on in full swing to welcome Bappa. Ganesh Utsav is seen in a different way in states like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka. Big pandals are set up here and statues are installed. People come from far and wide to see Bappa. The tallest statue in Maharashtra this year is said to be 35 feet.
Auspicious time of Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganapati is the god of knowledge, wisdom and happiness and prosperity. Just worshiping them brings happiness and prosperity in the house. It is believed that during the 10-day Ganesh Utsav, Ganapati comes to earth and removes the sufferings of his devotees. In such a situation, devotees of Bappa make special preparations to please him. This year, Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start on 18th September at 12.39 pm and will end on 19th September at 8 pm. In such a situation, according to Udayatithi, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 19th September. The auspicious time of puja on this day will start from 11.01 am in the morning and will continue till 01.28 pm.
Many things are needed during the worship of Ganpati, but among these there are 5 things without which the worship is not considered complete. Let us know what those five things are.
Ganpati worship is incomplete without these five things
- Durva grass is very dear to Lord Ganesha. In such a situation, definitely use Durva in worship on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi. Without this the puja is considered incomplete.
- Similarly, Bappa also likes Modak very much. Therefore, definitely include Modak in their offering. Bappa will be pleased with this and will fulfill all your wishes.
- Use of red flowers is also very important in the worship of Lord Ganesha. The puja is considered incomplete without offering red flowers to Ganesha.
- Sindoor is also included among the favorite ornaments of Lord Ganesha. Therefore, while worshiping Lord Ganesha, apply vermilion tilak on him.
- Offer banana to Lord Ganesha also. Without this the worship of Ganapati is not considered complete.
