Due to excess month, this year Sawan lasted for 2 months due to which many festivals are starting late. There will be many big festivals in the month of September, including Ganesh Chaturthi and Janmashtami.

Teej festival has special significance in Hinduism. Festivals start from the beginning of the year and this process continues till the end of the year. Currently, the month of Sawan is about to end and the month of September is about to begin. The month of September is also going to be very special in terms of festivals, where many big festivals will be held from Krishna Janmashtami to Ganesh Chaturthi. Apart from this, Pitru Paksha will also start in September itself.

In fact, due to excess month this year, the month of Sawan lasted for two months. Because of this, many big festivals are starting late. Janmashtami

Janmashtami, which is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna, falls every year on the eighth day of Krishna Paksha of the month of Bhadrapada. On this day the Laddu Gopal Swaroop of Shri Krishna is worshiped and the birth anniversary is celebrated. On this day people keep fast for the whole day and birthday is celebrated at 12 midnight.

Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with pomp in many parts of the country and especially in Maharashtra. This Ganesh festival which lasts for 10 days starts with Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month and ends on Chaturdashi Tithi.
