
Infrastructure development and investment in India will be the main focus areas of the government over the next 25 years as the country hopes to emerge as a developed nation by 2047, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told business leaders in Japan during a visit. There are several factors in its favor which will help in making up for the lost opportunities of the past and achieving the goal of a developed nation. The achievement achieved by the Japanese economy after the devastation in the Second World War has become an inspiration for other countries. Sitharaman is currently on a two-day visit to Japan from Thursday to attend the Finance and Central Bank Governors' meeting.
