PM Modi Rajasthan Visit: PM Modi's taunt on the fight between Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot, 'What kind of government is this where...'

PM Modi On Ashok Gehlot: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while holding a public meeting at Abu Road in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, said that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot does not trust his own MLAs.

Ashok Gehlot Vs Sachin Pilot: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Rajasthan. PM Modi on Wednesday (May 10) took a dig at the ongoing tussle between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot. He said that Congress is fighting among themselves, so how will Rajasthan develop in such a situation?

Addressing a public meeting at Abu Road in Mount Abu, PM Modi said, "What kind of government is this where Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot does not trust his own MLAs?" What kind of government is this where the MLAs do not have faith in their CM? Everyone within the government is competing to humiliate each other. When the chair has been lying in crisis for the whole 5 years, then who will care about the development of Rajasthan?

In fact, Congress leader Sachin Pilot denied Gehlot's allegations that the MLAs who rebelled in 2020 had taken money from the BJP. He said in a press conference on Tuesday (May 9) that Gehlot's recent speech shows that his leader is not Sonia Gandhi but Vasundhara Raje. He is also continuously attacking Gehlot for not taking action on the alleged corruption during Vansudhara Raje's government.

What did Ashok Gehlot say?

Ashok Gehlot said in Dholpur on Sunday (May 7) that his government was saved from the political crisis of 2020, because former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and former Assembly Speaker Kailash Meghwal did not support the conspiracy to topple his (Gehlot) government.

He had also said that the MLAs who had taken the money from BJP at that time, should return this money to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. To this, Pilot replied that it was wrong to accuse his (Congress) leaders.

What answer did Sachin Pilot give?

Referring to his faction's MLAs Hemaram Chowdhary and Brijendra Ola, Sachin Pilot said that the people against whom allegations are being made have been in public life for 30-40 years. Chaudhary and Ola are currently ministers in the Gehlot government. He said that it is wrong to make such allegations against all these people. I categorically deny these baseless and false allegations.

Why did the rebellion happen in 2020?

Referring to the rebellion of the year 2020, Pilot said in the press conference that he himself and some of his colleagues (MLAs) wanted a change in the leadership of the state, so they went to Delhi in 2020 and presented their views to the party. After this, the Congress formed a committee and prepared a roadmap to resolve the issue.

Please tell that in 2020, Pilot was the Deputy Chief Minister and State Congress President. Pilot and 18 other Congress MLAs revolted against Gehlot's leadership in July 2020. The matter was resolved after the intervention of the party high command. After this, Pilot was removed from the post of Deputy CM and Congress State President.
