Fraudsters will come from this 'mega plan' of the government, only so many SIMs will be available on one ID

The incidents of cyber fraud are increasing and the role of SIM is very important behind the incidents of fraud. Keeping this in mind, the government has now prepared a mega plan.

The government is taking several steps to deal with cyber fraud, SIM plays an important role in fraud incidents, due to which now the government is going to limit the number of SIMs per person. For the information of the people, let us tell you that the Union Ministry of Telecom is now going to reduce the number of sims per person from 9 to 4 or 5. By next week, the government can issue instructions to the telecom companies in this regard.

The government has also started a website in which any SIM user can find out how many SIMs are currently active in his name with the help of this site. Not only this, if you see a number on your name that you have never taken, you can also block the number in one click.

If you want to know how many SIMs are active in your name then go to the website www.tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in. According to some sources related to the Telecom Ministry, some suggestions were given by the central agencies regarding the role of SIM in the increasing cases of fraud and cyber fraud.

To implement these suggestions, the PMO has asked the ministry to take immediate steps, which include reducing the number of SIMs per person.

According to telecom expert Sandeep Budki, the cases of cyber fraud and fraud are continuously increasing in the country and it is worth noting that SIM has played a role in 99 percent of the cases.

The government had improved the process of buying SIM a lot as compared to earlier, but due to the negligence of the people, fraudsters start the game of fraud by taking fake SIMs in the name of people and when the agencies track the SIM, then the real SIM holder is not known. It seems that someone else is cheating by taking another SIM in his name.

Expert Sandeep says that anyway no one person uses 9 sims and a limited number of four or five sims is enough. Due to the high number, the fraudsters have more scope to get SIM in their name by fooling people.

According to sources in the Ministry of Telecom, telecom companies will soon issue instructions in which personal verification in KYC will be made mandatory along with reducing the number of SIMs. If there is any negligence in this, then strict action will be taken by the government on the mistake made by the telecom companies.
