Who is Vidavatha Kavarappa?
Vidavatha Kavarappa was born on 25 February 1999 in Karnataka. Kavarappa's record in domestic cricket has been quite excellent. He made headlines with his excellent performance in domestic cricket in 2021-22. He took 34 wickets in 10 first class matches played in 2023. Kavarappa has also got another fast bowling contract from BCCI.
Before the mega auction for IPL 2024, Kawarappa was retained by the Punjab franchise. This season he got a chance to make his IPL debut against RCB. He missed the wicket of Virat Kohli in the first over of his very first match.
On the third ball of the over, King Kohli played a shot towards covers, but the ball did not hit his bat properly and went in the air. Ashutosh Sharma did try to take the catch, but the ball slipped out of his hands and Kohli got a lease of life.

Before this match, Vidavatha Kavarappa had played 13 matches in his T20 career, in which he has taken 23 wickets at an average of 12. Kawerappa has taken 38 wickets in 18 matches played in his List A career. His figures in first class cricket are worth seeing. Kawerappa has taken 80 wickets in 20 matches at an average of 20.08.
