Cyclone Mocha: Storm rising in Bay of Bengal, IMD's warning for Andhra Pradesh-Odisha


Cyclone Mocha:
According to IMD, there is a threat of Cyclone Mocha in three states of the country, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal. On which Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee said that we have made all arrangements for rescue.

New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) told on Monday that the danger of Cyclone Mocha is looming in three states of the country, Andhra Pradesh , West Bengal and Odisha. According to IMD, low pressure has started forming over the Bay of Bengal. Due to which the wind will take the form of a cyclone at any time. Which is likely to turn into a depression on 9th May.

According to the IMD, it is expected to move north-northeastwards towards east-central Bay of Bengal by May 11 and then north-northeastwards towards Bangladesh-Myanmar coasts around May 12. IMD has advised fishermen, small vessels, boats and trawlers not to venture into southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Andaman Sea from Monday. Talking about the same Tuesday, he has asked to avoid going to the south-east and the surrounding central Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea.

Wind likely to blow up to 80- 90 per hour in Central Gulf

According to IMD, there is a possibility of wind speed of 80-90 per hour in East Central Bay of Bengal on May 12. At the same time, there is a possibility of wind blowing at 60-70 km per hour over the Andaman Islands. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee told that we are monitoring the situation. If the situation worsens in the coming two days, we will save the people of the coastal areas. He said that there is no need to be afraid of the cyclone, we should make all arrangements for rescue.

In this case, the IMD said that Mocha storm will rise from the Bay of Bengal and move towards north-northeast Bangladesh-Myanmar. Please tell that Mocha is a city in Yemen. Which is also called Mokha.
