NEET UG Exam 2023: A girl student who appeared for NEET exam told that she was asked to remove her undergarments while checking at the exam center. The gold rings of some boys were taken off at the exam centre.
On Sunday, the NEET UG exam was conducted at various examination centers across the country. A very shameful incident has come to the fore from the Chennai examination center. Here women candidates were asked to remove their undergarments during checking. A regional journalist who went to the examination center in Chennai informed about the incident by tweeting.
According to the India Today report, the journalist said that he saw a girl sitting in a corner. On asking the girl, she told that she was misbehaved at the examination center. The student told the reporter that she was told not to wear undergarments while taking the exam, so she was feeling ashamed.
Asked to remove undergarments
The journalist faced backlash from trolls, due to which he had to delete his tweet. Later, he gave a clarification saying that as far as he observed, more than half of the girl students who appeared for the exam were not wearing undergarments. He tweeted that those asking me obscene questions should ask the examination board whether wearing undergarments is allowed or not.
When this incident came to the fore, State Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyamozhi claimed that CM Stalin had already condemned such activities. Anbil Mahesh said that the Chief Minister has been criticizing the way the invigilators took off hairpins and clothes of every student and checked them during the NEET exam.
More than 18 lakh candidates had registered for the NEET UG exam this year for admission to medical courses. At the same time, around 1.5 lakh students across Tamil Nadu appeared in the NEET exam on Sunday. At the same time, according to the reports of TOI, the gold rings of some boys were taken off at the exam center.
