In the 47th match of IPL 2023, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Aiden Markram took a brilliant catch to dismiss Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana on his own ball. He stopped the Kolkata captain from scoring a half-century. Markram bowled brilliantly against Kolkata today. 

Coming in for the 11th over of the innings, Markram bowled the second ball to Rana a little slower outside off stump. Rana tried to play a slog sweep on it but the ball took the top edge of his bat and went into the air. At the same time, Aiden Markram made a long run to long-on and took a brilliant catch while diving and ended Rana's innings. The KKR captain played an inning of 42 runs in 31 balls with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes before getting out. 

After winning the toss, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana said, "We will bat first. Looks like a good wicket, hopefully we will post a good score and then restrict them. We will not talk much about the future." Thinking, just taking it game by game. We've had injuries in a few matches but now they're back. We're playing an extra batsman because of the impact rule, need to score 10-15 extra runs. Two changes - Jason Roy comes in for David Wiese and Vaibhav Arora comes in for Jagdishan.

Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Aiden Markram said, "We would have batted first had we done well with the score on the board. We need to start playing consistent cricket and hope for a positive result tonight. Needs to improve with the bat." Yes, the bowling has been excellent, but we have done poorly with the bat.
