Not thousand-two thousand, there will be a boom of jobs in this sector, many jobs will be created

The way new sectors are being developed in India. A boom of jobs can be seen in the coming days. A sector is completely new, which will not give employment to thousand or two thousand but to several thousand people. Read this news...

The Modi government has set the target of 'self-reliant India'. That's why many such sectors are being formed within the country at this time, which were not there before, and many jobs are also being created in them. One such sector is that of chip or semiconductor manufacturing, the condition is that at present there is a shortage of skilled people working in this sector in India.

According to an internal report of the Ministry of Electronics and IT, there is currently no skilled population working in chip manufacturing plants in India. Not only this, by 2027, not one thousand or two thousand, but several thousand jobs are likely to be created in this sector.

10 to 13 thousand jobs will be available

Ministry official Prashant Kumar said that by 2027, 10 to 13 thousand people will be needed in the chip manufacturing sector. That means so many people will get employment. India has a huge talent pool of engineers designing semiconductors, but the number of people handling their plants is negligible.

Prashant Kumar was speaking on the Foundation Day of Electronics Sector Skill Council. Tata and Vedanta groups are focusing on setting up semiconductor plants in India. Both the groups have also partnered with foreign companies for this.

People will come from abroad before handling the plant

When the semiconductor plant starts in the country, initially the people handling it will come from abroad. After this, companies will start teaching skills to the local people and hire them. Only then by 2027, the talent pool required for an estimated 10 to 13 thousand people will be ready. Prashant Kumar said all these things on the basis of the internal report of the ministry.

Government started 'Chips to Startup' program

Even though people running 10 to 13 thousand chip plants will be needed in the country. But the Government of India has started a 'chip-to-startup' program. Under this, the government aims to create a talent pool of more than 85,000 skilled people by 2027.

For this, the government has provided expensive and modern electronics design automation tools to 120 institutes of the country. These tools have been given to colleges, startups and government institutions, so that students can be given their experience. These tools are useful for the training of chip designing.
