And in February, about 47,854 people lost their jobs. Talking about March, in the beginning 1,629 employees have lost their jobs. Apart from this, about 1,000 employees of Meta can be fired in a week or two.

According to Clarify Capital, almost 1 out of 4 tech workers have not been hired by any other company after the layoff. It has also been said in the report that about 53 percent of the people who start their own company are more happy with their work, as well as they are not in danger of losing their job.

Meta and Google ex-employee working in OpenAI

ChatGPT 's developer company OpenAI has hired former employees of Google and Meta. According to a report, 59 ex-employees of Google and 34 ex-employees of Meta are working in OpenAI.
