Water chestnut flour – 1/2 cup

Peanuts – 3 tbsp

White sesame – 1 tbsp

Green chili – 1

Oil – as needed

Black salt – as per taste

Method of making Sabudana Chilla

To make Sabudana Chilla for fasting, first clean the Sabudana and put it in a bowl and keep it soaked in water. Soak sago for at least 1 hour. When the sago becomes soft, put it in the mixer and grind it. Now take out the prepared paste and shift it in a vessel. After this, put peanuts and green chilies in a mixer jar and grind them coarsely. Now add ground peanuts and chillies to the sago paste and mix well.

Now add water chestnut flour to this mixture and mix it well. After this, mix white sesame seeds and salt as per taste. After mixing all the things well, add water little by little and prepare the batter for the cheela while dissolving it.

Now take a nonstick pan/griddle and heat it on medium flame. After the tawa is hot, pour some oil on it and spread it all around. After this, take sago batter in a bowl and pour it in the center of the griddle and spread it in a circular motion. After roasting for some time, pour a little oil around the cheela and then flip the cheela. Sabudana cheela should be fried till it becomes golden and crispy from both the sides. After this, take out the cheela in a plate. Prepare Sabudana Chilla in the same way from all the batter. It can be served with coconut chutney.
