Darbhanga Airport gets 78 acres of land from Nitish government, new terminal will be constructed soon

Bihar Government Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha said that with the construction of a modern terminal building at Darbhanga Airport, passengers going to and from here will get high-level facilities.

Patna: Nitish Kumar government has given 78 acres of land for Darbhanga airport. On Tuesday, the process of acquisition of the remaining land for the airport was completed. Development work will now be started on a large scale in Darbhanga Airport from 78 acres of land. Construction of modern civil enclave, expansion of runway and establishment of night landing facility will be done. According to media reports, a total amount of more than 342.43 crores has been spent by the state government on land acquisition in two installments for the airport.

Water Resources cum Information and Public Relations Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha has expressed happiness on being given 73 acres of land. Also expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The minister said that soon the work on the rest of the facilities in the airport will be started soon. Along with this, Sanjay Jha said that due to the construction of modern terminal building at Darbhanga airport, passengers coming and going here will get high level of facilities.

Rs 2.63 lakh crore budget presented

On the other hand, the Nitish government on Tuesday presented a budget with a revenue surplus of Rs 2.61 lakh crore for the financial year 2023-24. In this, the financial condition of the state was described as better. Presenting a budget of Rs 2,61,885.40 crore for the financial year 2023-24 in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Finance Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said that compared to the previous financial year, there has been a decline in grants-in-aid from the Center while the state's share in central taxes has increased. Share has increased.

He said that the proposed budget expenditure of Rs 2,61,885.40 crore for the next financial year is Rs 24,194.21 crore more than the budget estimate of Rs 2,37,691.19 crore for the financial year 2022-23. Chaudhary said that the fiscal deficit in the financial year 2023-24 is estimated to be Rs 25567.84 crore, which is 2.98 percent of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Rs 8,58,928 crore.

Estimated share of central taxes from the central government

He said that in the next financial year, Bihar is estimated to get Rs 1,02,737.26 crore as its share in central taxes from the central government, which is Rs 11,556.66 crore more than the previous financial year. But only Rs 53,377.92 crore is expected to be received as grant-in-aid from the Centre, which is Rs 4,623.37 crore less than in the previous financial year.
