School of Eminence project has started in Punjab. CM Bhagwant Mann has called it his first big education project. Its specialties have also been told.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has started his government's ambitious project School of Eminence. During this, Bhagwant Mann said that this is a revolutionary step towards ensuring a bright future for the students. A budget of Rs 200 crore has been kept for the School of Eminence project. Under this project, 117 government schools in 23 districts of Punjab will be upgraded. There will be special emphasis on class 9th to 12th.

The government says that the purpose of this project is to rejuvenate the government schools of Punjab. To ensure the overall development of the students so that they become responsible citizens.

The official said that apart from career counseling, new teaching techniques will be followed. Under this, students will also be guided for professional exams to be held in India and abroad.

'There was a revolution in Delhi, now it's Punjab's turn'

CM Mann said, 'Such schools have already brought a revolution in the field of education in Delhi. Now it is the turn of Punjab where this model will be implemented successfully.

'These schools are being established keeping in mind the aspirations of the freedom fighters. In these, children will be prepared for future needs, which will help in making Punjab ideal in the field of education. He also said that the day is not far when these government schools will provide better education than private schools.

Regarding his government's decision to send 36 teachers to Singapore for training, Mann said that 'this will help them to learn the advanced practices present around the world. Teachers are nation builders and they have to play an important role in bringing quality changes in the field of education.
