Mahesh Manjrekar, who became famous by making the film 'Vastav' starring Sanjay Dutt, is directing this film. Apart from Marathi, it is being made simultaneously in three-four languages including Hindi and Telugu. Its name in Marathi is 'Vedat Marathe Veer Dadale Saat'. The first look of Akshay Kumar as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was showcased in this film yesterday (November 2, Wednesday).
