Prepare buckwheat flour poori, mawa barfi and water chestnut pudding and coriander panjiri. Along with this, you must also enjoy milk-curd, butter, because Kanhaiya likes milk-curd and butter very much. Make Panchamrit and keep all kinds of fruits.

Ashtami date starts - 18th August starting at 9.21 pm
Ashtami date ends - 19th August till 10.59 pm 

Worship like this

On the day of Janmashtami, start worshiping by taking the names of Devaki, Vasudev, Baldev, Nanda, Yashoda and Maa Lakshmi. One should definitely read Vishnu Purana and Bhagavad Gita on this day. After worshiping, distribute prasad.
