Chandramukhi 2 Release Date, Star Cast, Plot, Trailer

Indian cinema superstar Rajinikanth starrer 2005 Tamil comedy horror film Chandramukhi 2 will soon bring its sequel Chandramukhi 2, as the shooting of the film has started from today.

Chandramukhi 2 was a critically acclaimed film starring Prabhu, Jyothika, Vadivelu and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The film was the Tamil remake of the 1993 superhit Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu, which was remade in several languages, such as Apthamitra (2004) in Kannada, Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) in Hindi.

A standalone sequel to Chandramukhi 2 titled Nagavalli was made in Telugu in 2010. Now its upcoming Tamil sequel Chandramukhi 2 is also creating a lot of buzz and there are lot of expectations from it.

Chandramukhi 2 was announced in April 2020 with director P. Vasu who also directed the first film to direct the next. The title of the film was given by Shivaji Productions.

Filmmaker Subhaskaran Allirajah's Lyca Productions took her first collaboration with Raghava Lawrence on the film which was to be produced by Sun Pictures.

Legendary music director MM Keeravani has been roped in to compose the music and background score of the film, while RD Rajasekhar will crank the camera and Thotta Tharani will handle the cinematography. Later Raghava Lawrence announced this through a social media post in June 2022.

Chandramukhi 2 Star Cast

The film stars actor-filmmaker-choreographer Raghava Lawrence, best known for starring in the lead role, directing, writing and producing the critically acclaimed Kanchana film series.

Along with Raghava Lawrence, the film also stars renowned actor-comedian Vadivelu in a lead role. He is going to represent his iconic character Murugesan from the first film. Although the female lead is yet to be finalized, according to media reports, the makers of the film are in talks with actress Lakshmi Menon to play the female lead. The rest of the star cast is yet to be revealed.

Chandramukhi 2 shooting begins

Today, on 15th July 2022, the makers of the film have started its shooting in Mysore and the film's lead actor Raghava Lawrence visited his idol superstar Rajinikanth of "Chandramukhi" fame and took his blessings for the film.

The actor also shared a few pictures of the superstar touching feet as well as hugging to seek his blessings with a bright smile on his face and wrote a beautiful caption for him. This respectful gesture of the actors is being appreciated by fans on social media
