Devotee donates 1 crore worth gold sword to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala


We are all well aware of the fact that devotees have unwavering faith in their God. 
This is the reason why devotees make offerings to please the Lord. Recently, a devotee from Hyderabad offered a sword made of two kg gold and three kg silver to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala hill temple near Tirupati on the previous day. Giving this information, an official of the temple said that the business devotee has presented Surya Katari to the Lord. Now this news is making headlines across the country.

Tirupati temple official said A Venkata Dharma Reddy, Additional Executive Officer, Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam, got the sword. The cost of this sword made of gold and silver is one crore rupees. According to temple officials, the sword weighs five kilos which is made from two kilos of gold and three kilos of silver. Sri Venkateswara Temple is built on the Tirumala hills located in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.

The Srinivas couple themselves handed over the gold sword to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) authorities. The Srinivasa couple displayed this sword in front of the media at the Collective Guest House in Tirumala on Sunday. It is being told in a report that the Srinivas couple wanted to hand over the sword for the last one year, but due to Corona, they got delayed. But in the end he gave this sword to the temple.

Srinivas, who handed over the gold sword at the feet of Venkateswara Swamy, said that I wanted to present the golden sword to 'Surya Katari' for the past one year, but the temple was closed due to the corona epidemic and the effect of the lockdown. The Srinivas couple got it made by jewelers in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It took about 6 months to make it. Let us tell you that Tirupati Sri Venkateswara Temple is the second richest temple in India, where every year crores of offerings are made.
