Himachal Pradesh Lockdown Extends: Jairam cabinet of Himachal Pradesh has once again increased the corona curfew in the state. Due to the increase in Corona curfew, markets will once again open in the state from 9 am to 2 pm from Monday. Amidst pressure from business organizations of Himachal Pradesh, the government has extended the curfew till June 14, following the recommendation of health department and district administration officials to keep strictness under control for one more week.
Cabinet meeting to be held on June 11
The Jairam cabinet is going to meet again on June 11, in which a decision can be taken regarding the lockdown after discussing the continuation of the corona curfew and increasing the concessions. At the same time, according to the decision so far, work will be done in government offices with only 30 percent staff on Monday.
After the cabinet meeting, the officials concerned had already issued the rosters, according to which the employees had reached the office last week. However, some officers, citing problems in the work, have definitely asked the higher officials to call at least 50 percent of the employees. Now it remains to be seen what decision the government takes in the cabinet meeting to be held on June 11.
Students are waiting for UGC's decision
Students of colleges in Himachal Pradesh are waiting for UGC's decision regarding the conduct of examinations. After getting the guidelines from the UGC, the state government will take a decision on how and when the examinations are to be conducted or to promote the students.
Let us tell you that during the first wave of Corona, first and second year students were promoted in colleges last year. This time no decision has been taken by the UGC regarding the examinations yet. However, many states have started preparing to conduct examinations in colleges. Himachal University has also claimed to be fully prepared for the examinations in the past. In such a situation, as soon as the instructions come from the UGC, the state government will also issue an order regarding the examination.
