Athletics: Sifan Hassan made world record in 10,000 meter race

Netherlands' long-running athlete Sifan Hassan has made a new world record for the women's 10,000 meters (10 km) run.
He completed this race by taking only 29 minutes 06.82 seconds. This player with great speed was participating in the FBK Games (World Athletics Continental Tour Gold Meet). Before Sifan, this world record was occupied by Almaz Ayana of Ethiopia. Almaz clocked 29:17.45s during the Rio Olympics.

Earlier, 28-year-old Sifan Haasan had set a European record in October last year. Then he took 29 minutes 36.67 seconds on the same track. But with his new timing on Sunday, he has made a world record in his name.

Sifan said after his special achievement, 'It is really special to set a world record in front of Dutch fans. I am very happy. I have worked hard to prepare myself for the Tokyo Olympics and this result is proof of that. This is the place I used to dream of.

Earlier in 2019 in Doha, she has also won the gold medal in the World Champion Race. The Olympic Games are to start in Tokyo next month and breaking Haasan's world record before that is special in itself. On the basis of this performance, he has staked his claim on Olympic gold in front of other athletes of the world.
