The Tulsi plant is worshiped as a goddess in Hinduism. It is said in the scriptures that the worship of Lord Vishnu is considered incomplete without a basil leaf. Apart from this, basil leaf is also offered in the worship of Hanumanji. By serving the basil, happiness and prosperity remains in the house. Let's know about the religious importance of planting Tulsi plant in the house.

1. There is a belief in Hinduism that placing Tulsi leaves with Ganges water in the mouth of a dead person leads to heaven. By doing this, the soul of the person gets peace.

2. Tulsi and Ganga water are never considered stale. Both these things are used in worship. It is believed that without these things you are considered incomplete.

3. Everyday your sins are erased by adding water to the basil plant and worshiping regularly. It is believed that if Tulsi plant is worshiped daily, then Yamraj does not enter and there is happiness and prosperity in the house.

4. There are some rules to keep the basil plant at home. Never leave tulsi leaf on unholy hands, on Sunday, lunar eclipse, Ekadashi. Doing so brings blame. Mother Tulsi gets angry due to breaking the leaf without need.

5. While planting the basil plant, take care that it is not dry. If you are going out, make such a arrangement that the basil plant keeps getting water. Worshiping Tulsi should be done daily in the morning. This brings the blessings of Mother Lakshmi to your home.
