Modi government's big relief amid Corona, GST collection reached record high


There has been news of relief for the government among the growing Corona in the country. The country's GST collection for the month of April has reached a record high. The total GST collection in April was Rs 1,41,384 crore, which is a new record. Of this, the Central GST has been 27,837 crores, State GST 35,621 crores and Inter GST 68,481 crores and Cess 9,445 crores. 29,599 crores has been earned in IGST by taxing only imported goods.

The GST collection for March was Rs 123902 crore, which was the highest in any month so far. The GST collection in April has gone far ahead of the old figures. If you look at the GST collection for the last six months, it was 123902 crore in March, 113143 crore in February, 119875 crore in January, 115174 crore in December, 104963 crore in November, 105155 crore in October.

In line with the trend of growth in GST collection for the last six months, GST collection in April is 14% higher than in March. The revenue from Domestic Transaction this month (including import of services) is 21% more than the previous month.
