Preity Zinta got angry on fake news, said- 'The viral statement on Rohit Sharma is false'

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is the co-owner of IPL franchise Punjab Kings and recently a statement in her name went viral. In fact, it was claimed in many social media posts and media reports that Preity Zinta has expressed her desire to bring Rohit Sharma to Punjab Kings.

According to the reports, it was being claimed that Preity Zinta wants to make Rohit Sharma a part of Punjab Kings at any cost. This statement in her name went viral that if Rohit Sharma is available in the IPL mega auction to be held next year, then Preity Zinta will risk her life to include Rohit in the Punjab team. However, now Preity Zinta herself has called all these news completely false.

Preity Zinta has called these news as false rumors by tweeting from her official X account. He wrote, 'Fake news. All these articles are completely false and baseless. I respect Rohit Sharma a lot and am his big fan. But I neither talked about him nor gave this statement in any interview. I respect Shikhar Dhawan a lot and now due to his injury these articles are looking very bad.

He further wrote, 'These articles are a perfect example of how misinformation is picked up and spread online without any verification. I humbly request all the media to avoid taking this decision and not to embarrass the people associated with it. All I want to say is that we have a very good team right now and our focus is only on winning matches and doing as much as we can in IPL 2024. Thank you.'

Let us tell you that at present the experienced batsman of the Indian team, Shikhar Dhawan is the captain of Punjab Kings. However, he is not fit at the moment due to which he has missed some of the team's matches. During this period, Sam Curran was seen leading the team. Punjab Kings have played 7 matches in the tournament out of which they have won only one match.
