The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the Indian cricket team for the ICC World Test Championship final and Test series against England. The BCCI Senior Selection Committee has selected a 20-member team for this tour, while 4 players have been placed on standby. No new faces have found a place in the team. Contrary to expectations, Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have not returned to the team. At the same time, Prithvi Shaw, the young opener running in the best form, has also not been selected for this tour. The Indian team will leave for England at the end of this month or in the first week of June.
The ICC World Test Championship final is to be played in Southampton from 18 June.
