The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has expressed concern over Whatsapp's new privacy policy. The organization said that Whatsapp should be stopped from implementing this or it should be banned completely.

The CAIT said in a letter to the minister that the government should stop the implementation of new Whatsapp policies or take action to ban Whatsapp. The organization further wrote that there are more than 200 million Facebook users in India. If it has access to all user data, it could endanger not only the economy but also the security of the country. This is a serious matter that the government needs to address.

In this regard, PTI wrote a mail to the company to which a reply has been received. A spokesman for Whatsapp said in response to a mail that a new privacy policy had been adopted to promote transparency.
