According to Feng Shui, the bamboo plant represents the five elements of the earth. It has different number of stalks according to the purpose. If love wants marriage, two for prosperity, three for health, five for wealth and eight for good luck plant is planted. But a plant with four bamboo numbers should never be kept in the house as it is considered a sign of death wish.

It is believed that planting bamboo plant in the east draws money and good fortune. It should be kept in a glass container and it should contain wood, fire, water, earth and metal. Bamboo plant is an air purifier and it is very easy to maintain it. But it should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

A bamboo plant should not be kept at home. Also, do not keep a plant whose color is yellow or very dark green. Never fill purified water in it. Add normal water. Its roots should be covered. Also, if the color of the leaves becomes yellow then it should be removed immediately.
