Bank debit card issued by ( Debit free insurance cover to customers on the Card) is available. Insurance cover limits vary for different card types. RuPay Card developed in the country offers free accidental insurance of Rs 2 lakh. This card is provided free of cost on opening a bank account. The National Payment Corporation of India also offers personal accident insurance cover for RuPay debit cardholders. This is given in case of Accidental Death or Permanent Total Disability.
Insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakhs
Accident insurance is provided in case of death or permanent disability of RuPay cardholder. Under this policy, RuPay Classic cardholders are entitled to insurance cover of Rs 1 lakh. While the Platinum cardholder gets an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh. Let us say that this is an accident insurance i.e. if you die due to an accident or your body parts are not working then you will get Rs 1 to 2 lakh. The benefit of this policy is not available in case of normal death.
Apply this way
To apply go to RuPay's website and fill in your personal details in the application form. Select what type of RuPay card you want and from which bank. However for that you should have a savings account in that bank. Then click Submit. Will apply for your RuPay card. The entire process of transacting with this card takes place in the country. It is more profitable to transact than any other card.
