PM Modi to inaugurate national conference against vigilance and corruption tomorrow


New Delhi:
 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a national conference against vigilance and corruption through video conferencing on the issue of vigilant India, prosperous India tomorrow. Let us know that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) organizes this national conference which is happening every year along with the 'Vigilance Awareness Week' to be held from October 27 to November 2.

A statement issued from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that the activities of this conference will focus on vigilance-related topics, including making people aware and reinforcing India's resolve for dignity and integrity in public life with the participation of citizens.

The conference challenges the challenges of forensic investigations abroad, taking precautionary vigilance against corruption as a procedural measure, phased reforms in financial inclusion and preventing fraud in banks, considering effective audit as an engine of growth, Capacity building and training include multi-dimensional coordination of the agency for quicker and more effective investigation, emerging trends in economic crimes, cyber crime and criminal investigation agencies and sharing of methods adopted for investigation and prevention of crime.

This conference will provide a common platform to policy makers and professionals working in such methods to fight corruption through procedural reforms and will lead to better governance and accountable governance. It is an important contributing factor to ease of doing business in India.

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Development of North Eastern States (Donier), Minister of State, Prime Minister's Office, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh will also address its inaugural session.

The conference will be attended by top officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau, Vigilance Bureau, Economic Offenses Units-CID officers of States and Union Territories, Chief Vigilance Officers, CBI officials and representatives of various central agencies. Besides the Chief Secretaries of the States and Union Territories and the Director General of Police will participate in the conference session.
