Srinagar:
Encounter between security forces and terrorists continues in Shofia in Jammu and Kashmir. Three terrorists have been killed in this encounter between security forces and terrorists on Wednesday morning. This operation took place in Sugan area of Shopian. These encounters have continued since late Tuesday evening.

1 of the three terrorists killed is the top commander. The security forces have so far recovered two bodies. A police spokesperson has informed that the security forces conducted a search operation after informing the presence of militants in Sugan village of Zanpora area of Shopian district. It is said that during this period the terrorists opened fire and the security forces retaliated after which the encounter started.

Inspector General of Police of Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar said that we have identified the terrorists who were behind the attack. He is a Lashkar terrorist and is led by Saifullah. We are doing our work and will be eliminated soon. He said, with two terrorist scooters, there is a big possibility that Pampore came from the side and fired indiscriminately with an AK rifle.

Significantly, in the last few days, encounters have increased again in Jammu and Kashmir and the terrorists are ending. Earlier recently, security forces surrounded the militants in Pulwama district. Apart from this, there was a terrorist attack in Pulwama in the past, in which two CRPF personnel were killed.

In the winter season, infiltration by terrorists and incidents of such attacks are more frequent, the Indian security forces are fully alert. Recently, it was reported that the terrorists now have a shortage of weapons due to the strictness being carried out by the security forces. In such a situation, the terrorists constantly try to rob the weapon by targeting the convoy of the security forces but fail.
