Water crisis in Delhi should end… SC said- Central government should hold meeting with Delhi-Haryana-Himachal

The Supreme Court said that the water problem in Delhi has to be resolved. In the apex court, the Himachal Pradesh government said that it is ready to give water to Delhi. At the same time, the Haryana government opposed giving water. Actually, recently the Delhi government had filed a petition demanding additional water. On Friday, the Delhi government had filed a petition to provide additional water to the country's capital from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh for a month. It was said that Delhi's need for water has increased in the scorching heat. It was also said in the petition that it is everyone's responsibility to fulfill the needs of the country's capital. Apart from this, Delhi's Water Minister Atishi had also written a letter to the central government in this regard.

In a letter to the central government, Atishi had appealed to provide additional water to Delhi. She had written a letter to Union Water Minister Gajendra Shekhawat saying that Delhi is facing water shortage due to severe heat. Less water is coming from Haryana. Delhiites need more water during the heat wave. In her letter, Atishi had appealed to the central government to provide additional water to Delhi from Haryana or Uttar Pradesh.

CM Kejriwal had appealed to BJP regarding water

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had appealed to BJP regarding the water problem in Delhi. He had said that BJP should talk to the Haryana and UP governments and provide water to Delhi. He had tweeted that this is the time to work together and not for politics. He had said that in this scorching heat, the demand for water in Delhi has increased a lot and the water that Delhi used to get from neighboring states has also been reduced. We all have to find a solution to this together.

Water shortage in Delhi amid rising heat

Due to the increasing heat in Delhi, there is a water problem in many areas. For the last few days, people have to travel continuously for water. Water is being delivered to the people through tankers. There is a huge crowd here while taking water from the tankers. Delhi CM said that if BJP talks to its governments in Haryana and UP and gets some water for Delhi for a month, then we will greatly appreciate this step of BJP. This time there is unprecedented heat in the whole country. Due to this, there is a crisis of water and electricity across the country.
