 USA vs CANADA World's First International Match 1844: The bugle of T20 World Cup (T20 World Cup 2024) has been blown in America. In the first match of the tournament, USA defeated Canada one-sidedly by 7 wickets. The host US chased the target of 195 runs in 17.4 overs. For USA, Aaron Jones played a stormy innings of 94 runs in 40 balls and gave his team a historic victory. The cricket history of America and Canada is very old. The first unofficial international match between the two teams was played 180 years ago in 1844, where Canada won by 23 runs. This match was also played at St. George's Club Ground in New York.

In the second innings also, Canada could not do anything amazing and the whole team was all out for 63 runs. Henry Groom took 5 wickets for USA this time while opener David Winkworth scored the highest 14 runs for Canada. While chasing the target of 82 runs, the US team could once again score only 58 runs and lost the match by 23 runs. Opener James Turner scored 14 runs for USA and George Sharp took 6 wickets for Canada.
