The results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 have come out. BJP has not been able to get a majority on its own. But the NDA has crossed the majority mark. The last meeting of the Modi cabinet was held this morning. In this meeting, a decision was taken to dissolve the 17th Lok Sabha. After the meeting was over, PM Modi reached Rashtrapati Bhavan to inform about the cabinet's decision and to submit his resignation.

He submitted his resignation to President Draupadi Murmu. A meeting of NDA MPs has been called in the Central Hall of Parliament on June 7. In this meeting, PM Modi will be elected as the leader of the BJP and NDA parliamentary party. After this, PM Modi will address the gathering. After this, PM Modi will meet the President along with NDA allies and stake claim to form the government.

Efforts to form government intensified

After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, the efforts to form the government have intensified. No single party has got an absolute majority in this election but the BJP-led NDA has enough seats to form the government. However, BJP is dependent on JDU and TDP to form the government. On the other hand, the enthusiasm of the Congress-led All India Alliance is also high.

Even though the India alliance is a little short of a majority, his camp is definitely planning to oust Modi from power with the help of new allies. Amidst all this turmoil, meetings of both NDA and India alliance are being held in Delhi today. Modi cabinet has submitted its resignation and BJP is preparing to form a new government.
