The role of Banarakas was played by Durgesh Kumar. After this he gained a lot of fame. But in a recent interview he revealed that he did not audition for this role. He auditioned for the role of a photographer. He told that the writer of Aspirant played the role of a photographer, then I got this role of Bhushan.

Durgesh Kumar said, "Bhushan was not auditioned. The photographer was auditioned. But Dipesh ji, the writer of Aspirants, played the role of a photographer and then I was offered the role of Bhushan Kumar. I was asked if I could do a one-day role and I said yes." Along with this, he also told that he got 10 thousand rupees for his role in the first season. Along with this, his accommodation, food and travel arrangements were separate.
