Richa Chadha had taken 30 to 40 takes for the dance sequence. But things were not working out. He said let him drink a little. After that see what happens and Richa Chadha drank. Richa said, “On the first day, I did not know how to dance drunk. So after 30-40 takes I thought let me take a quarter and see what happens. I drank some wine. I drank a little. But this made things worse. I did not want to be slow in my body movements. I just wanted something less in it.”
“I almost completed my century”
But after drinking alcohol, Richa realized that instead of getting better, things got worse. His body became lethargic. He further explained that it is better to pretend to be drunk than to actually be a little drunk. He told that he finished this scene after about 99 retakes. Richa said, “I almost completed the century. This is not easy. People think it is very easy. Imagine that you are dancing and more than 200-300 people are watching you, and you are not able to do well. But when you get over it, you're like, 'Wow, I didn't know I could do that.'”
