After the heartbreaking defeat in the final, SRH owner said this big thing for the team in the dressing room, watch the video

Kolkata Knight Riders won the title for the third time by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in the final of IPL 2024. After this crushing defeat, SRH owner Kavya Maran was seen crying a lot. However, the franchise has shared a video of Kavya on social media in which she is seen boosting the morale of the team in the dressing room.

Kavya is seen saying in the video, "You all have made us very proud. I had to come here and tell you this. In fact, I mean, you have redefined the way we play T20 cricket. And everyone is talking about us. Today was not our day but really, did a great job with bat and ball. Thank you so much, and even though we finished last last year, I think it was because of the ability of you guys that all the fans came out in large numbers to support us. Everyone is talking about us. Even though KKR won, everyone is talking about the style of cricket we played. Thank you guys, take care of yourself. Don't look like this. Hum final me khel hai (We played in the final).”

Hyderabad's entire team, batting first, was all out for 113 runs in 18.3 overs in 20 overs. This is the lowest score in the final in the history of IPL. Chasing the target, Kolkata won the match by scoring 114 runs in 10.3 overs. SRH finished second in the league stage with 17 points from 14 matches.

They faced KKR in Qualifier 1, where they lost by 8 wickets after failing to defend 159 runs. SRH had another chance to win the title with Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals, which they won by 36 runs. Hyderabad made the highest score in IPL history (287) in this season. This season, the team was led by Pat Cummins, who was bought by Hyderabad for 20.75 crores in the IPL 2024 auction.
