Kalmi Kebab Recipe

  • First of all, clean the chicken pieces thoroughly and make deep cuts in the chicken with the help of a knife. So that when marination is applied, they penetrate well into the meat.
  • Now in a big bowl, add curd, ginger and garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt and mix well and prepare a marinade.
  • Add the chicken pieces to the prepared marinade and mix them well.
  • Now cover the coated chicken with the help of a bowl and keep it in the refrigerator for two to three hours.
  • Now prepare 4-5 skewers and place them on each chicken piece.
  • If you are using wooden skewers to make Kalmi Kebab, then soak the skewers in water for 20 to 25 minutes so that the skewers do not burn.
  • Now put chicken pieces in all the skewers. If you want, you can also make kebabs in tandoor, grill or oven. If you are using a grill, then first heat the grill on low flame and place the coins one by one on the grill and keep cooking by turning them occasionally.
  • When the outer part of the chicken becomes dark golden in color, take it out in a plate and serve it by adding green coriander leaves, curd and onion pieces on top. Keep in mind that you have to take out the kebab only after about 20 to 25 minutes.
